~Home Sweet Home~

So...drumroll please...Andre and I are now homeowners! It has been thrilling ride to this point and I have a feeling it will only continue.  We closed mid-June and have been hard at work at it ever since. Before I post any pictures, I want to take a moment and thank everyone who has put their hard work into the house with us: the Bryan Crew (Mom, Dad & Christopher), the Abamonte Famiglia (Paul, Helen & Eli) and the Beaver Gang (Mike & Lyndel). We really couldn't have done it without you!
Our new home! Tripper and Xena love the front yard.
Nasty Trellis in the kitchen/den
First things first-this has definitely got to go!
A guest room
Jack & Jill bathroom between two guest rooms
Basement stairs
Guest bathroom-Andre really loves the B&W theme going on in there.
Laundry room-love our new W&D set we bought from a friend.
Next up: Paint the master bedroom before we move in!
Newly painted master bedroom

Master bedroom-complete with ceiling fan!
Andre reused this trelllis (from the kitchen/den) to give us more privacy on our master bedroom deck-genius! Notice the heart :)
Living room with our fabulous new couch that only cost us $300-way to go Lyndel for finding it on craigslist!
Some lovely contact paper that we ripped out of the kitchen cabinets
The kitchen, with Christopher ripping out contact paper
Switched out the white knobs for stainless steel ones
Mike & Christopher putting the fridge together.
Lyndel & Helen hard at work in the kitchen.

Dad and Andre fixing up the fridge hole in the kitchen
Look how happy he is!
Project: Dining room. I really like the cream color so just wanted to paint the bottom area and add baseboards
Although Behr calls this "Japanese fern,"  I've affectionately dubbed it "Ninja Turtle Green." Don't worry, it looks better with everything else in the room!
Voila! And we added baseboards (not pictured here)
Den area
Pretty rockin' kitchen wallpaper.
There was a big gap between the counter and wall in the kitchen so dad used plywood lying around as a back board.
Dad and Andre hard at work with the tile saw...stupid Home Depot sent me home without the water pump but we made it work.
We learned how to tile! The kitchen was covered in wallpaper so we decided to go the extra mile and tile.
Mom and Dad stayed up late painting our kitchen this lovely Tiffany blue!
Finished tilework
Painted + tiled kitchen! So lovely
Newly painted den
Our fridge's new home! Both our dads worked really hard to recut the drywall to make our fridge fit.
So here it is folks, our new home! Upcoming projects: paint master bath & laundry room, install a living room ceiling fan, lay hardwood, and buy a lawnmover!
